These terms

This website is operated by Balance Farm (“we”). By using it you agree to these terms. If you do not agree, please do not use the site.

What the Index is, and is not

The Cognitive Coefficient Index, its editions, research and scenarios are model outputs, not predictions. They are published for information. They are not investment, financial, legal, tax or other professional advice, and you should not rely on them as such. Where an input is missing it is estimated and marked as an estimate.

Using our data

The public Index tables, the dated editions and the data downloads on this site are licensed under the Creative Commons Attribution 4.0 International licence (CC BY 4.0). You may copy, share and adapt them, including commercially, provided you credit “Cognitive Coefficient Institute”, link to the source, and say if you changed anything. Each edition page shows how to cite it.

Everything else on the site, including its text, design, the Cognitive Coefficient name and the Caliper mark, remains ours and is not covered by that licence. Licensed data, the full boards and client work are provided under separate written agreements.

Advisory work

Engagements with Cognitive Coefficient Advisory are governed by a separate written agreement. Requesting a briefing through this site does not create a client relationship.

Accounts and shared links

If you have an account, keep your sign-in details to yourself; you are responsible for what is done with them. A shared link is for the person it was sent to. We may withdraw an account or a link at any time.

Fair use of the site

Please do not try to reach parts of the site you have not been given access to, interfere with how it works, or collect its pages automatically at a rate that burdens it. The data downloads are there so you do not have to.

No warranty, and limits on liability

The site and everything on it is provided “as is”, without any warranty, express or implied, including as to accuracy, completeness or fitness for a purpose. To the fullest extent the law allows, we are not liable for any loss arising from your use of the site or your reliance on anything published on it.

Links to other sites

Where we link to other websites, we are not responsible for their content or their practices.

Governing law

These terms are governed by the laws of Wyoming.
