The Index · GeographiesEconomies, ranked on the total cognitive capacity they command and on that capacity per person.
What this measures
Cognitive Power measures absolute national capacity: the AI capital a country mobilises, its compute, its frontier models, its robotics and automation, and its research output. Mass components are log-normalised, so no single giant can swamp the scale.
The Cognitive Coefficient reads the same capacity per person, in the manner of the Human Development Index.
Scores run 0 to 100. The top 10 economies · updated 21 Oct 2026.
